My CSV import keeps messing up special characters like é, ü and emojis from my VCF. How do I keep the formatting correct

This problem arises due to the fact that VCF files are usually UTF-8 encoded; however, some CSV editors that default to ANSI can cause special characters to break. If you want to keep names, emojis, and accented characters, then you have to convert your VCF by a tool that supports Unicode formatting. An efficient VCF to CSV converter is one that automatically recognizes UTF-8 characters and stores them in the right way. The WholeClear vCard to CSV Converter is very helpful in retaining the correct encoding and as it is compatible with VCF 2.1, 3.0 & 4.0 versions, it can read the characters in the file precisely. Open the CSV in Excel after the conversion and make use of the UTF-8 import settings. This will make sure that accented letters, symbols and emojis are the same as they were in the original VCF file.
