What problems occur if I use Excel contacts directly without VCF?

I have a large list of contacts saved in an Excel spreadsheet (XLS/XLSX format), and I am trying to import them directly into my email client and mobile phone. However, I noticed that many platforms prefer contacts in VCF (vCard) format. What kind of problems can occur if I use Excel contacts directly without converting them to VCF? For example, will contact details like phone numbers, email addresses, or names be lost or mismatched? Are there compatibility issues with devices or email services? Also, what is the best solution to avoid these issues and safely import Excel contacts without data loss?

Using Excel contacts directly without VCF creates many problems. The first issue is that you cannot import an Excel file into the phone contact device. So users try the paste method, which also makes mistakes many times, and phone numbers or emails go in the wrong field.

Another problem is data loss. While manually adding contacts, some details get missed. Also, duplicates happen because you forget which contact you have already added. For business users, this becomes a big headache.

To overcome these problems, I can suggest a trusted and most searchable tool like SoftakenSoftware Excel to VCF Converter, which solves this problem in a few minutes and provides you with a complete conversion. This tool supports all Excel and vCard versions, so you can seamlessly convert all your Excel contacts to VCF files without any format change. You can all phone numbers, country codes, full names, and multiple entries are preserved correctly without any mistakes.
